| 15.06.2007 V.F.MARTAZINOVA, V.Е.TYMOFEYEV СURRENT STATE OF ATMOSPHERIC CIRCULATION IN THE NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN HEMISPHERES AND REGIONAL CLIMATE IN THE ATLANTIC-EUROPEAN SECTOR AND THE REGION OF THE ANTARCTIC PENINSULA Climate change occurring over the last century and transformation of atmospheric circulation in individual regions of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere are compared. Present-day state of atmospheric circulation for Atlantic-European sector and Antarctic Peninsula region is shown via distinguishing the etalon synoptic patterns. Epoch of the recent warming is characterized by greater stability of predominant weather patterns, especially in the South Hemisphere. On the other hand, change of atmospheric circulation in European sector has resulted in greater frequency of extreme weather events, which are formed under one of the most probable weather patterns. Periodicity of atmospheric processes being found in both Hemispheres can be used for mastering the methods of weather forecasting on different time scales.

| 16.08.2008 R.E.VLASENKOV, A.P.MAKSHTAS HYDROOPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LAPTEV AND EAST-SIBERIAN SEAS Based on the data of experimental investigations executed in open waters of the East-Siberian and Laptev Seas on the board of research vessel «Ivan Petrov» in 2003 and 2004, the empirical dependences between intensity of global short-wave radiation, concentration of suspended matter and depth of Seichi disk disappearance have been developed. Spectral measurements of penetrated to different depths solar radiation, carried out for the first time in the area under study, have allowed to estimate and, as a first approximation, to develop the empirical ratio between intensity of global solar radiation and PAR radiation in dependence on concentration of the suspended matter, important for modeling of biochemical processes. First time the spatial distributions of chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM), important for estimations the influence of solar radiation on aquatic organisms as well as interpretation of satellite images has been constructed for the investigated area.

| 05.07.2007 N.YE.IVANOV, V.YE.LAGUN, E.I.LUTSENKO ABOUT CLIMATE REGIME OF RUSSKAYA STATION AREA (WESTERN ANTARCTICA) Statistical analysis of surface wind velocity is executed on the base of current observations (four-times a day) at Russkaya station, located in Western Antarctida for period from 1980 to 1990. Estimates of interannual variability parameters, parameters of annual rithmics, processes of synoptic scale and diurnal variability with account of low frequency modulation are obtained in terms of mathematics expectance vector and of invariant of dispersion tensor and spectral density in suggestion of stationary and periodic correlation vector stochastic process. For parameterization of synoptic scale variability the model of stochastic impulse process is applied. Recommendations for applied climatic manuals are presented.

| 15.10.2008 M.YU.KULAKOV WATER CIRCULATION AND TRANSPORT OF SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS IN THE LAPTEV AND EAST-SIBERIAN SEAS The numerical hydrodynamical model is adapted to water areas of the Laptev and East-Siberian seas. Values of some empirical parameters describing processes of bottom erosion and deposition of a suspended sediment are determined from comparison of results of calculations and data of measurements. On the basis of modelling experiments and field researches a number conclusions about features of water circulation and the nature of dynamics of a suspended sediment in the Laptev and East-Siberian seas are made and opportunities of modelling in research of the given phenomenon are shown.

| 01.02.2008 I.M.ASHIK, V.K.PAVLOV SEASONAL AND LONG-TERM LEVEL OSCILLATIONS IN THE NORDIC SEAS The results of analysis of the long-term changes of annual mean sea level at 31 coastal stations located in the Greenland, Norwegian and Barents seas are presented. For the period of 3–5 decades the magnitudes of the linear trend were determined. The trend has a negative sign at 17 stations and positive sign at 14 stations. The distinctions in character of the long-term changes of annual mean sea level are mostly explained by the features of vertical movements of the earth's crust. The estimations of the basic statistical characteristics of records were obtained, and they were ranged along the coastal line. This paper also contains the estimations of the expected sea level changes in the Nordic seas for the first half of 21 centuries based on the various climatic scenarios.

| 12.11.2008 S.V.VERETENENKO, L.S.IVLEV, V.A.ULIEV RESEARCH OF STRATOSPHERIC AEROSOL VARIATIONS DURING SOLAR PROTON EVENTS OF JANUARY 2005 ACCORDING TO THE DATA OF GOMOS/ENVISAT The analysis of results of registration of stratospheric aerosol concentration in January, 2005 according to tool GOMOS (Global Ozone Monitoring by Occultation of Stars) established on Envisat satellite is carried out. The appreciable increase in aerosol concentration at high latitudes (72°N) after the beginning of series of solar proton events on January, 15–17th and on January, 20th, accompanied by increase of solar protons in an energy range of 165–500 MeV (on January, 20th it is registered GLE) is revealed. Model calculations of change of ionization rate in the bottom stratosphere under the influence of solar protons are spent. It is shown that the increase in aerosol concentration can be caused by influence of increase of stratospheric ionization rate on formation and growth of aerosol particles.

| 11.11.2008 V.V.KHARITONOV, A.E.KLEYN, R.B.GUZENKO PECULIARITIES OF MORPHOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ICE RIDGES WITH SAIL AND KEEL DISPLACED It is traditionally considered that sails and keels of ice ridges formed from level ice have the regular geometrical shape. Usually, the sail of an ice ridge is somewhat displaced relative to the keel. During building the drifting stations «NP–34» and «NP–36», the morphometric characteristics of level ice and ice ridges were researched using the method of drilling. Two ice ridges with keels completely displaced relative to the sails have been found. The main morphometric characteristics of these ice ridges are presented. Experience of using the submersible telemetric complex for observing the lower ice surface is discussed.

The empiric distributions of ice phenomena have clear left-side asymmetry (toward the negative anomalies). It is typical that in 2000-2008 this specific feature is seen more distinctly than in the 1990-s.
